Christmas wood slice with saying: questions and answers
How do I fit the engraving to my wood slice?
The file is set up for 80 mm. In your laser software, scale the grey guide line to the diameter of your slice and then hide it – it is not lasered.
Can the laser cut the hole into the slice?
Only with thin slices. Wood slices are usually pre-drilled, so the hole can be switched on or off.
Can I write my own saying?
Yes – a small line in capitals and a large line in script. The size adapts to the slice automatically.
Does it work with my laser?
Yes. The generator exports SVG files in real millimetres that you can import into xTool Creative Space, xTool Studio, LightBurn and other common laser software. Cut and engrave are on separate layers.
