Monogram with name: questions and answers
Does the monogram hold together although the letter is split?
Yes. The letters of the name stand between two rails and join the upper and lower half. The generator joins any loose bits automatically with a bridge (at least 2 mm).
Can I use a different letter than the first one of the name?
Yes. The letter is taken over automatically, but you can change it freely – for example to the initial of the surname.
Which material thickness works?
For wall decor, 3 mm poplar or birch plywood is enough. With a stand, 4–6 mm is sturdier.
Does it work with my laser?
Yes. The generator exports SVG files in real millimetres that you can import into xTool Creative Space, xTool Studio, LightBurn and other common laser software. Cut and engrave are on separate layers.
